- At least 12 college units in child development, education, or recreation.
- Three semester units in administration.
- At least three years teaching experience.
- Ability to correctly and effectively communicate in written and oral English.

- A California Driver's License, daily use of an automobile, and automobile liability insurance.
|
 |
- To plan and conduct group activities based on the Surround Care curriculum.
- To supervise and interact with children in a positive manner.
- To develop and maintain learning centers which reflect the interests and needs of the children enrolled in the program.
- To provide a wide variety of experiences for children with an emphasis on active participation.
- To use sensitivity and good judgement when interacting with children and parents.
- To provide a safe, well-supervised environment.
- To work with the children to maintain a clean environment both inside and outside.
- To accomplish other duties as assigned to create and maintain a quality program.
- To accurately complete all required paperwork for the program and to submit to according to established schedule.
- To read and implement all Agency and program policies.
- To interact in a positive manner with School District personnel and other visitors.
- To give enrollment and program information to prospective families and to be a positive recruiter for the program.
- To supervise the assistant Teacher and any other volunteers in the program.
- Assist the Education Coordinator as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.

- Works under direction of the Education Coordinator.

 |
- Twelve month work year.
- Occasional evening or weekend hours may be required.
- Employment, responsibilities, compensation, or any other factor may be affected by changes in governmental regulations, the Agency's contracts, or at Agency discretion.
