Options Child Care Special Projects Division: Middle School Enrichment Aide

At least 6 months experience working with students ages 12-15.
Current Adult/Pediatric CPR and First Aid certification or must be obtained within 90 days of hire.
Ability to correctly and effectively communicate in written and oral English.

Must maintain Adult/Pediatric CPR and First Aid certification to remain qualified for the position.

A California Driver's License, daily use of an automobile, and automobile liability insurance.

To assist in the planning and conducting group activities based on the Middle School curriculum.
To supervise and interact with the students in a positive manner.
To act as a proper role model for student participants, staff members, and volunteers.
To maintain the "hub" portable to reflect the interests and needs of the students in the program.
To assist in providing a wide variety of experiences for the students with an emphasis on enriching their school experience and their outlook on their lives.
To use sensitivity and professional judgement when interacting with students, parents, staff, volunteers, visitors and school personnel.
To provide a safe, well-supervised environment.
To administer CPR and First Aid in emergency situation prior to emergency personnel's arrival.
To work with students to maintain a clean environment both inside and outside, as well as library and other areas of the campus used by the program.
To read and implement all Agency and program policies.
To give registration and program information to prospective families and to be a positive recruiter for the program.
Assist the Site Supervisor and Specialist/Teacher as needed.
Other duties as assigned.

Twelve month work year.
Occasional evening or weekend hours may be required.
Employment responsibilities, compensation, or any other factor may be affected by changes in governmental regulations, the Agency's contracts, or at Agency discretion.

Part-time, Non-exempt $9.54/hr. + Benefits
